Don’t neglect strength training! Compound movements (multi-joint) that work multiple muscles or muscle groups at the same time should be your highest priority in strength training! Movements like squats, deadlifts, pressing, bench press, bent over row, pull-ups, push-ups, kettlebell swings, and the Olympic lifts are all fantastic exercises when done with perfect form and/or at an appropriate load! Full body routines are by far the most effective, being sure to focus on knee dominant movements, hip dominant movements, vertical/horizontal pressing and vertical/horizontal pulling. Use dumbbells, barbells, sandbags, kettlebells, medicine balls, slam balls, trx, rings, ropes etc
