Just finished my first (of many) sessions with Jessica from @moveptwellness! I underwent a series of movements screenings where Jessica watched and diagnosed some (many) movement flaws. This is important for a number of reasons: 1. We can correct improper movement and recreate proper mechanics 2. It prevents injury 3. It enhances our ability to recover properly 4. It teaches me about ME! We ALL have movements flaws, and many of them are incredibly hard to pinpoint on our own. @moveptwellness was able to find some major issues with the internal rotation of my hip which has caused many back issues in the previous years. She also helped my correct my basic posture where I was folding my thoracic spine to prevent over extension, rather than pulling my rib cage down while remaining tall…. it’s VERY challenging for me, yet it’s EXCITING! new things to work on to make me BETTER!! Now this isn’t something someone should only do if they have an injury, this is something EVERYONE should do to PREVENT injury! LEARN about yourself. Let @moveptwellness teach you
